Park Rules
Visitors and patrons of Pioneer Courthouse Square, a City park, are subject to the rules of the City of Portland Code and Charter and Park Rules.
Overview
Pioneer Courthouse Square, located in the heart of Downtown Portland, is an urban park affectionately known as the City's "living room." Prior to its grand opening in 1984, a private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization was created to manage programming and daily operations. Today the Square thrives with volunteer leadership and community support at every level through a unique management agreement with the City of Portland.
Our Mission
"Welcome all to our community gathering place"
In accordance with that mission, the Square has become a high-profile setting for outdoor events and services. It offers services in five general categories:
