SQUARE NEWS

red bull illume Exhibit tour - now on display!
Red Bull Illume - a first of its kind international action and adventure sports photography exhibition – offers residents and visitors a spectacular street-side ”illumination” of indescribable proportions. Red Bull Illume began as a quest to find the 50 best raw moments in action and adventure sports captured by both amateur and professional photographers. Contest judges composed of photography experts from around the world hand-selected 50 winning images from over 7,200 submissions representing more than 90 countries.

These fifty hand-selected winning images currently light up Portland's main thoroughfare, SW 6th Avenue, as a breathtaking ‘larger than life' street gallery with the outdoor spectacle of twenty-five 8-foot glass and metal photography display cubes. Through the cooperative efforts of Portland Department of Transportation, Portland Mall Management Inc. and TriMet, three blocks of SW Sixth Avenue, between SW Morrison and SW Salmon, will light up each evening after sunset.

Red Bull Illume “… is the most incredible collection I have ever seen assembled in one place and it is one of the most phenomenal experiences I have had in my 17 years of photo editing.” - Anne Telford of Communication Arts.

The Red Bull Illume Exhibit took Aspen by storm in January 2007 and recently made waves in Huntington Beach in June 2007. For additional information on this free outdoor exhibit tour, please visit www.redbullillume.com.
